Can you believe that I used no stamps on this card? I used a cuttlebug folder for the background on pattern paper. I then used my Grand Calibur die cutting machine to cut out all of the dies. I used a total of five dies on this card, three from Poppy Stamps dies and two from Cheery Lynn dies. I used chalks to color the bird and put a pearl in the center of one flower. Hope this gives you some inspiration.

I have chosen to make an Easter egg card and I used colorful papers to help usher in spring. I used the Mediterranean Star Embossing Powder (EP429) for the eggs and sentiment. Then I used Blue Jewel Glitter (G1113) and Cyclamen Glitter (G1090) to decorate the eggs and sentiment. The leaves is a die cut from Spellbinders and the butterfly is a die from Cheery Lynn Designs. I used green mulberry paper for the grass and leaves. I hope you enjoy this bright spot of spring!

Hummingbird feeding

This stamp is from Sparkle N Sprinnkle and it is from a beautiful set. I also used purple glitter on the Tear-rific tape that I ran across the top and bottom of the red card. I colored the scene with Prismacolor Pencils and blended with Gamsol. Then I used a die cut from Spellbinders to cut out the image. You can get these stamps and glitter at www.sparklensprinkle.com. Hero Arts cards from Paper Ink

UVA

Thought some of you might like to see a card I did with the colors of UVA. This card could be used for any occasion such as birthday, thinking of you, cheer, etc. I have a set of stamps from Close To My Heart of football things and decided to use the football player. You can find the designer pattern paper at www.paperink.net and there are about 5-6 sheets of different patterns with UVA colors. You can also order cards made for that special someone . Enjoy.

Red Grapes

Sorry I haven't been posting much lately, but have been busy with finishing up an order of cards and working at www.paperink.net three days a week. The store has the new Cheery Lynn dies in stock and I have had so much fun demoing these delicate dies. We also have the double sided adhesive that is made for die cutting. The adhesive does not make your dies sticky and it sticks beautifully! The above card was made for SparkleNSprinkle. They came out with some new wine stamps the other month (when I was having computer problems) and I am just getting around to showing what I did with the stamps. I colored this one with prismacolor pencils and blended with Gamsol. I highlighted all of the "wet" droplets with Ranger's clear accents. Happy Heart

Thought I would post another valentine card. The image is from SparkleNSprinkle. The image was stamped with white pigment ink onto watercolor paper and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I then used the Range distress inks in Spun Sugar, Pumice Stone, and the new Red from the Christmas pack. I started with the lightest color working my way up to the darkest. I used the blending tool to get a good blending of the colors. A white satin ribbon was tied around this and then layered onto charcoal cardstock and this was attached to red cardstock. Very easy card. You can buy this image from www.sparklensprinkle.com and it is one of the small sets so very reasonable in cost.

Bee Mine

Sorry I haven't posted for a couple of weeks, but the most wonderful thing has happened! I am now working 2-3 days per week at Paper Ink on the downtown mall in Charlottesville, VA. This store opened a couple of months ago and is adding new stamps, cardstock, pens, etc. daily. I am so happy to be part of this team! I design cards using all of this new stuff and demo the die cutting with the Grand Calibur. I also teach card making classes. After being off from work for a whole year, I am gradually getting my body back in shape to work three days a week. This is an opportunity made in heaven!! Anyway, I am going to try to upload cards more often now. For the above card I have used the Bee Mine stamp set from www.sparklensprinkle.com. This is such an adorable set! I used a Cuttlebug folder for the background, a Fiskars border punch for the bottom row of hearts, a Memory Die for the corner flourish, and a Spellbinders circle heart for the pink circle. I used my Copics to color the pink butterfly. Enjoy!

Merry Christmas

This is an ornament made out of a drink coaster that I made last year! I used stamps from SparkleNSprinkle and this set of stamps is one of my favorite sets from them. I love to stamp penguins and find different ways to dress them with embossing powder, glitter, markers, flower soft, etc. The silver and red snowflakes were die cut using an old Cuttlebug snowflake die. I glued flower soft around the edges of the ornament. The stamp set can be found at www.sparklensprinkle.com. Have to get back to my cooking now. I'm just showing a very simple card today! I used red and white cardstock. I stamped the angel from Inkadinkado in white pigment ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder from SparklenSprinkle. I then layered everything and used seam binding to tie the knot. Enjoy!

Beautiful Snowfall

I'm so sorry I have been missing in action! I usually upload my pics from my laptop and it had to take a visit to the shop for repairs. I'm hoping it will return home soon! My PC is slow and I don't have photo editing on it so am going to just post my pics without editing. This neat scene is from Rubber Cottage and is colored with copic markers. I added Starfire Glitter #G1017 from http://www.sparklensprinkle.com/ on all of the snowy areas. I love hos this glitter sparkles just like a new snowfall! The poinsetta is stamped with white pigment ink and heat embossed with white opaque embossing powder. The poinsetta stamp is from Heartfelt Creations and the die is from Spellbinders. The cardstock is cherry cobbler from Stampin Up and the white is from Papertrey Ink. Enjoy!

I tried uploading this card the other day and it just didn't work, so we will try again! The stamp set is from SparkleNSprinkle and uses their glitter. I stamped with Momento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics. I also paper pieced their coats. I used lots of Moon Rose Tinsel on the lower part of the card. Holly Berries

Another Christmas card. This one is very easy and simple. The stamp is from SparkleNSprinkle and it was colored with Copic markers. I die cut this out using my Grand Calibur and the Fleur de lis square nestabilities. I put glossy clear accents on the berries so they are really shiny! I then layered everything to make a very simple card. Enjoy.

I just wanted to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving! My children will be coming by to eat "turkey" in the afternoon and my sweet hubby is doing the cooking so I will be able to play in my craft room for a little while! I stamped the background with a set of stamps from Hero Arts in various colors. The turkey is also a Hero Arts stamp. The circle and tag is from Spellbinders dies. I used Espresso Brown cardstock for the card. Give thanks toay and be safe!

Butterfly ornament

Another ornament for everyone to see! I also used a coaster for the base of this ornament and covered it with pattern paper. The butterfly was cut out of the pattern paper and also cut out of red cardstock. I learned how to do this technique from my friend, Bekah. You can see her blog at www.stampingwithbekah.com. It has Starfire Glitter under the butterfly which is from www.sparklensprinkle.com. I just used some stickers at the bottom of the ornament. Chipboard ornament

I made this ornament the other day using a 4x4 chipboard coaster. I used printed paper from Stampi Up and colored it with barn door distress stain from Ranger. I had some antique looking punch outs which I used on the front. I popped up Santa and used a felt snowflake that I cut out with an old Cuttlebug die. I used Stampin Up twine wrapped around the ornament and for the hanger. Very easy!

Fall Pears

This is a card I did a few weeks ago using a stamp from Stampin Up. I colored the pear basket with Prismacolor pencils and used my blending stamps and Gamsol. I then used my Grand Calibur and the circle nestabilties to cut the image out. I used another nestablities set for layering. I used a sentiment from Papertrey Ink and Stampin Up punches to layer the sentiment. Also, the ribbon is called Pear Pizazz and is from Stampin Up.

Christmas is right around the corner and the weather we are having sure does indicate that winter is here! It was 29 degrees this morning! The fur babies aren't even staying out very long. I did this card as part of the monthly cards for SparkleNSprinkle last month. I used red cardstock by www.papertreyink.com and stamped the holly with black ink to make the backgrung. I used Spellbinders ornament die cut with the Grand Calibur to cut out the double sided adhesive and then sprinkled with the Silver Glitter Tinsel by SparklNSprinkle. I then stamped the holly and colored with Copic markers. This was then die cut and placed on the Glitter Tinsel. I used Crystal Effects to make the berries shine. Have Courage

I just realized I had not posted any of my pink ribbon cards to my blog. Shame on me! I used pale pink cardstock for the card and decorative paper to layer on this. I stamped the ribbon and fuzzy cut, then applied to card. The sentiment was punched out and applied to chocolate cardstock that was also punched out. The seam binding was dyed with re-inkers and crunched. The flower was stamped and die cut, then wrinkled and put together. I also made a stick pin from pearls and a pearl heart and stuck this in the back of the flower. The flower stamp is from Heartfelt Creations and I don't remember what company makes the ribbon and sentiment. Everyone enjoy this beautiful fall weekend coming up!

Sweet baby bears

Today is a cool wet day here in Virinigia so I thought I would post a sweet baby card. I used a clear stamp set from Papertrey Ink. The bears were stamped on pattern paper from Melissa Francis and fuzzy cut. They were layered onto white cardstock and a matching button was put on their tummy. Then I wrapped the twine around the card three times and tied a neat bow. Then I stamped "sweet as can be" for the sentiment. Very easy card.

Autumn Leaves

Yesterday was such a beautiful fall day here in Virginia and today is suppose to be the same. I love this time of the year. The leaves still have not peaked but they are turning and you see color everywhere. I hope you enjoy this fall card. The stamp is by Heartfelt Creations and they also have a leaf die set to match but I don't have that yet, just hand cut the leaves. I stamped this onto ivory cardstock two times. I then fuzzy cut the leaves from the second stamped images. I colored everything with Prismacolor pencils blended with stumps and gamsol. I used pop-up dots to raise up the cut leaves.

I made easel card from one of the new SparkleNSprinkle stamp sets that were just released. These are smaller sets than previously and are just so sweet! Wrinkled Pooch

What do you think of this winkled pooch? I think he is so sweet! Plus the sentiment is great! This stamp set is from http://www.sparklensprinkle.com/ and also the glitter tinsel. This is a 5x5 card made from a medium brown cardstock. I used pattern paper to layer and cut it in triangles. I then ran the double sided tear-ific tape from http://www.sparklensprinkle/ down the middle of the triangle and sprinkled on the tinsel. I used the Grand Caliber from Spellbinders with the scalloped rectangle to die cut the sentiment. I colored the pooch with Copic markers. Have a beautiful fall day! I am going to visit a fall craft show and hopefully the back and knee allows me to walk the whole show!

I love the stamps and dies (made by Spellbinders) that are by Heartfelt Creations. They ae so versatil and, of course, any flower made by hand is so neat! I stamped this flower and leaf on vellum paper, heat embossed with whtie embossing powder and then die dut. The birdhouse and bird are from Stamps by Judith. What are your opinions on this card?

Fall butterfly

I am anxious to get back to blogging and cardmaking! It seems like I lost most of the month of September. I had to go to the ER and found out my appendix was about to rupture. Had surgery and came home in two days. Then I was on a strong antibiotic and couldn't get my body to co-operate so ended up back in the hospital. Finally I am feeling much better and need to get back to my crafting!! Dyed Handmade Flower and Ribbon

Since today is such a rainy cool day, I thought I would brighten things up with this card. I used Papertrey Ink new stamp set, stamped on avocado cardstock with white ink and then used the Cuttlebug to die cut the leaves. The sentiment is stamped in brown ink and is astamp from Papertrey Ink. I used spun sugar distress ink to color the ribbon and all of the flower petals. The flower was cut out using Sizzix tattered flowers die with burlap, crinolinie, and net. I used a fabric brad to hold the flower together. Back to my creative room to make some cards for SparkleNSprinkle!

Vellum Daisy

My friend and I were playing around one day the other week and decided to try using vellum for some flowers. She had her set of daisies and the matching dies from Heartfelt Creations so I started stamping in white ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder. I used pink and light green vellum. Sonnie did the labor part by using the Grand Calibur from Spellbinderspaperarts and die cutting all of the flowers and leaves. We then shared what we had and later that n ight I made this cute card. I colored the vellum flowers with a marker to get a deeper pink. The background is embossed using the Cuttlebug and the larger dot folder. I'm not sure what company makes the sentiment -- have had it for ages! I also used Tim Holtz Sizzix die for the flourish. Enjoy.

I finally got my hands on the Sizzix dress form and couldn't wait to use it! All paper is from Stampin Up with shads of Baja Breeze and Crumb Cake. The sentiment is from a real old Stampin Up set. I used glossy accents on the cardstock button. I can see many more cards made with this dress form. Enjoy!

Fall pumpkins

This image turned into a wall hanging which I just love! I had some really sturdy cardboard and covered it with pattern paper from Papertrey Ink. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils blended with Gamsol and also Copic Markers. I stamped the pumkins the second time on orange cardstock and used my pumpkin die cuts to cut them out. I highlighted these with Prismacolor pencils and used pop dots to give them dimension. I then used my Grand Calibur machine from Spellbinders to die cut the image. I layered the image onto chocolate and orage cardstock. I tied some chocolate and white twinery into a bow for an added embellishment. I also used silk chocolate ribbon to make the hanger. The image is from Heartfelt Creations.

My sweet friend, Amy, gave me this pic of her two girls to play with. I used supplies from Melissa Frances. The cardstock is pink and chocolate from SU and the flower is from SU. Butterfly fantasy

Good morning! For a change, I am up early so thought I would start the day by showing a lovely butterfly card. Good morning bloggers! Today will be a good day to stay inside with the comfort of air-condition. This heat wave has lasted long enough in my opinion! I don't mind the heat as much as I do the humidity! This card was done for Sparklensprinkle. I stamped my image with black ink and colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with Gamsol. I then placed the image in an embossing folder and attached to dark green cardstock. I used Brushable glue and applied three different colors of glitter. Good Sunday morning everyone! We have had some beautiful weather here in central Virginia for the past four days but tomorrow it is suppose to be hot again for the whole week! In the high 90's! I was playing in my craft room the other week and came up with this card:

You can click on the card to get a better view. I usuall don't put this many embellishments on a card but couldn't stop myself this time! I wanted a different card so used my Grand Calibur machine with the nestabilities to cut out the card and the front of the card. I only added one small stamped image and left the rest of it up to the flowers, net, beads, pearls, brads, etc. I used assorted colors of pinks. The leaves are punched with a Martha Stewart punch.

Thought I would show you a simple card using all Stampin Up products. I have loads of Stampin Up stamps and products but just don't seem to get around to using them! This set is one I bought last month. I used cherry cobbler, early espresso, ivory, and baja breeze cardstock. I watercolored the image and used the new baja breeze glass particles on the waer. This is a very simple card using a stamp from Gina K Designs. I love Gina's stamps and wish I could afford to buy more of them! LOL. I used my Grand Calibur from Spellbinders with the lattice rectangle die to cut out the stamped image. I then matted it on chocolate chip cardstock. I used baja breeze, chocolate chip, and ivory cardstock. The brown stripe is chocolate chip ribbon.

Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a beautiful inspiring day! I thought I would show you a step card I made recently. This is one of the easiest step cards I have ever made! I got my instructions from Splitcoast Stampers and all of the cutting and scoring worked perfectly! I used vanilla and cherry cobbler cardstock. The designer paper was in my stash and I have no idea what company it is from. I just picked up the cherry cobbler and went through my stash looking for that color. I used a stamp from Stampin Up and colored it with Stampin Up markers. Of course, I had to decorate the card with pearls, roses, seam binding, punched leaves and a punched butterfly. Enjoy!

I've been missing in action again! My laptop stopped working over a week ago and I took it to this small company in Madison that I had dealt with previously but this time there was a new owner. I'm a very trusting person so I left it and as we were leaving last Thursday to go to the Great American Scrapbooking Convention in Chantilly, we stopped to pick up the computer. Well, he said the screen was gone and he had to order another one, that it would be ready on Monday. Okay, we went onto the convention and I had a blast looking at all of the displays, new ribbons, flowers, stamps, papers, etc. First off, I did a make & take at the Melissa Francis booth. Oh my, her paper, ideas, albums, everything is so dreamy! Okay, I loaded up there! and then kept looking. I went into the Heartfelt Creations booth and spent so much time there (and money!). Then onto Our Daily Bread Designs booth. I left there with a hefty bag also! Then I went back the next day and only stayed for about three hours. Hubby was out of patience of sitting around!
Then on Monday we tried calling about my lap top and no answer all day! On Tues. morning hubby drove to Madison. The federal agents were at the computer store and had the guy in handcuffs! Anyway, hubby brought the lap top back and took it to a reputable business. We found out the guy in Madison had disconnected the screen and when he put it back on it was not connected correctly and all of the wires were cooked! So, now I am looking for a new lap top!!
How do you like my card today? I tried for a vintage look. I have all of this lace I need to use up and I made the flower. I die cut the flower and used Tea Dye distress ink to color it. The seam binding is also dyed with the Tea Dye. I used Spellbinders Grand Calbiur to die cut the fleu de lis patterns. Enjoy your day!

I just wanted to wish my youngest grandson a HAPPY BIRTHDAY today! He is five years old -- how time flies! I started making him a card to take him tonight and got a litlee carried away! I started out using Papertrey Ink Men of Life stamp set. This is a great set for male cards. I stamped the bottom of the boat in Orange Zest by PTI and the sails I stamped on the background paper which is Basic Grey. I cut out the sails and attached onto the ivory cardstock which is by PTI. I use mostly cardstock from PTI because of the luxury feel and the weight. I then added a strip of orange zest and then found an old sheet of letters and cut out his name. I used my Cuttlebug to cut out the stars. We are taking the family out to dinner and then we have some new Cars 2 gifts. He has been crazy about Cars ever since the first movie came out!

Thought I would wish all of the dad's out in blog land a Happy Father's Day. This card could be used for any type of occasion. I love the sentiment which is from Hero Arts -- it is one that can be used for many occasions. The chair is from Lockhart Stamps and I use it quite a bit for masculine cards. It is colored with Prismacolor pencils blende with Gamsol. I used the Grand Calibur die cutting machine from Spellbinders Paper Arts using one of the nestabilities set to die cut the frames. The green top portion is cut with a border punch from EK Success and the sentiment is punched out with Stampin Up punches.

Last week was a scorcher here in Virginia -- hitting almost 100 every day. The weather changed Sunday night and now we are enjoying temps in the 80's. Great, greaet. Anyhoo, I thought I would show another picture of the shell set by SparkleNSprinnkle. This is such a beautiful set. I stamped the shells with white ink on watercolor paper and embossed. Then I took several colors of the distress inks and using the Rangers Ink blending tool, I blended the colors around and over the design. I had such a great day yesterday! Kim Critzer does all of this beautiful art work with fused glass and she had an open house yesterday and asked some crafters to set up in her yard. She had everything arranged so nice and great food! I was very pleased with everything, the turn out, friendly people, helpful people, etc. Everyone needs to go to Kim's web site to see her gorgeous work -- http://www.3wishesstudio.com/. It is a lot of hard work to set up something like this and I congratulate Kim on doing such a wonderful job. I hope she sold lots of goddies! Thank you, Kim, for such a wonderful day.

The card above is made with summer in mind. I used white ink on the shells and stamped them on watercolor paper. I then heat embosed with white embossing powder. I then colored over the shells and the surrounding areas with Ranger distres inks using the Ranger blending tool. I also did the sentiment Sunshine the same way except I used a brown embossing powder. The pattern paper is from Websters pages. The stamp set used is from http://www.sparklensprinkle.com/. NOT SO MACHO MASCULINE CARDS BLOG HOP

This is a hop featuring all types of masculine cards and we hope you will hop to all of the blogs and enjoy all of the team's cards. I have two cards for you today featuring fun baseball players. The first card is very simple. I colored the baseball player with Copic Markers and used the Grand Calibur from Spellbinders Paper Arts to cut out the image with the diamond shaped dies. I then used sticky paper and cut out a larger diamond and two smaler diamonds. I peeled off the layer of paper exposing the adhesive, stuck on the image, and then sprinkled on detail silver embossing powder to the exposed edges which I heat embossed. This is such an easy way to apply the powder. I then attached these silver embossed pieces to red cardstock which was layered to a black card that was cut in an A2 size.

This player was done in the same fashion as the last one except I used a new flocking color from http://www.sparklensprinkle.com/. The color is amber wheat and I thought it was so pretty to use as "dirt". I am donating this jar of amber wheat as part of the first place prize. I can see using this on cattails, wheat, and many more fall items. Whoever the grand prize winner is, I hope you will send me a copy of your card when you use the amber wheat.

Aren't these bunnies just the cutest?? When Flourishes came out with this set I just had to have it! I don't buy as many stamps as I use to but this set caught my heart strings! I colored the bunnies with a combination of pencils and Copic markers. I then cut them out with this beautiful die that I have had for sometime using my Grand Caliber machine from Spellbinders. Migrating butterflies

Hey everyone! Here in Virgnia today it is cloudy, rainy, thunderstorms, etc. so a good day to "play" in my craft room. I am doing a craft show at the Earlysville Fire Department this Sat. and am trying to finish up a little boy baby album! These baby things are so sweet and I can envision all of the cute smiley pictures that will go into the albums! I'm a sucker for babies!! Anyway, the card above is a very simple card. I got a coupld of new embossing folders from http://www.creativeplaystamps.com/. I believe these folders are bySizzix. I embossed the buttefly folder with so saffron cardstock from Stampin Up and then loaded my brayer with Chocolate Ink from Papertrey Ink and lightly brayered the chocolate onto the raised area. I used a new stamp I had bought by Inkadinkado and stamped the sentiment in Chocolate. I added some dark brown pearls, wrapped chocolate and yellow ribbon around it and then attached it to a chocolate card. Easy peasy!

Textured Background

Happy sunny day to everyone! It is cold here in Virginia today but the sun is shinning! Spring is on its way! I have a stash of colored images and found this one and decided to make a card with it. I had colored the image which is a Stampin Up image from a couple of years ago, with copic markers. I embossed a piece of orchid opulence cs from SU (retired color) using my cuttlebug machine. I then brayered chocolate ink (PTI) over the raised area. I die cut the flourish image and also the corner pieces (which are cut in half). I stamped my sentiment on white cs and punched out. I then layered this over the ribbon. I used certainly celery, orchid opulence, and white cardstock. This is such a beautiful iris that I need to pull out that set and do more!

Wow, was I surprised yesterday! My daughter asked me to come over and babysit. My two grandsons had a small birthday cake for me when I got there with a beautiful frame of a tree with pics of all of my family. Then she asked me to go with her to the meeting she had at church while hubby kept the boys. I knew something was up when she asked me to go!! We got to the church and my stamping group was there to surprise me!! That was so sweet and thoughtful!! I just love this group and we have been together for eight years. Rose had prepared some nifty paper projects for everyone to make and the food was scrumptious! Of course, I had to blow out the candles and they sung happy birthday. Thank you everyone for making my "70th" memorable.

By the way, I do not feel my age! It is only a number!!

Loopy Bow

I have just fallen in love with the seam binding to make loopy bows! This seam binding came from Stampin Up in vanilla. I had watched a video on You Tube by Sherry Cheever at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5wpkmgWWcQ&feature=player_embedded#at=26 and it looked so simple that I tried it! I died the ribbon with Papertrey Ink spring moss dye ink and spritzed it with a pearl mixture of perfect pearls and water. I scrunched the ribbon and dried it with my heat tool. I frayed the ends to make it look vintage. I used a stamping set from http://www.sparklennsprinkle.com/. This set has so many lovel stamps in it. I embossed the sentiment with Dog Gone embossing powder from sparklensprinkle. I also used my old fathful swiss dots embossing folder. I have also ordered a roll of seam binding that is 100 yards long in white made by Hug Snug as in the video. I can't wait to start coloring and making so many different colored ribbons!!

It is going to be 80 degrees here in Virginia today!! Beautiful spring day! I am going to open the windows and let the spring air blow through the house. I do have to clean house today and since I don't especially like to clean these nice temperatures will help to motivate me! Now to the daffodil card -- it is a simple clean card. I embossed the white layer with one of my cuttlebug folders and then stamped the daffodils with black inck and clear embossed. I colored the daffodils with Prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol. This is a stamp set from Stampin Up and is in the current mini book. I hope everyone enjoys this beautiful day! .

Thought I would post a Christmas card tonight and maybe that will help me get into the spirit of the holidays! I used Inkadinkado sentiment as my main image. Lacey circles by spellbinders was use to outline the sentiment. I also used a piece of cuttlebugged cardstock. This was a new embossing folder I bought last year and it was still in its wrapper! I used Jovial pattern paper from Basic Grey. The white cardstock is from Papertrey Ink and the red riding hood cardstock is from SU. I embellished with some Hero Arts paper poinsetta, punced out leaves, and added a white pearly brad.

I have really neglected the blog this fall! I got snowed under with so many different things going on in my life but I am now back and hopefully can upload lots more! Today, we had our Christmas luncheon at work and went to a new resturant for most of us called Beer Run. Their main room has beer lined around the room and, of course, there were numerous different kinds of beer on tap. The food was delicious and one of each deserts lined the table at the end. We all shared in the scrumplus deserts!

I picked the ornament with the poinsetta, stamped and embossed with gold detail embossing powder. I then used Spellbinders dies called heirloom ornaments. Welcome to the Sparkle N Sprinkle Fall Inspiration Blog Hop! For my first card, I used Dani's Garden Swing rubber stamp set #393. This is such a relaxing set of stamps to "play" with! I used lots of Sunset glitter #G1040 and some Embers glitter #G1034 on this card. For my second card I used rubber stamp set #348P4 -- Birds. I colored the bird with Prismacolor pencils blended with Gamsol. I used an embossing folder for the back ground and covered all of the fall leaves with Sunset glitter, #G1040 and then used Bon Fire embossing powder #EP399 on the berries. When I spot cover like this with embossing powder, I first apply glue and then sprinkle on the embossing powder and heat seat with the heat gun. It will work the same was as glitter! Happy Halloween projects

This is such a beautiful fall day! Windows open, sun shinning, great temperature, good health -- what else can we ask for?! I thought I would show you some pics of halloween projects that I have been working on. The bird house was bought at a crafting store, painted, covered with designer paper and cut-outs added. I also added some fake spide web to the top. For the purses I used a stainless steel die cut from http://www.papertreyink.com/ and assorted designer paper. The mailboxes were bought at Target ages ago and they hold lots of candy.

Breast cancer awareness month

Good morning everyone and happy Sunday! The weather here in Virginia is beautiful! The leaves are starting to turn, sun is shinning, and my grandsons will be here this afternoon to spend the night and all day tomorrow as they don't have school tomorrow! Plus my older grandson was here yesterday playing his favorite games on the computer. Life is good!! This is an easel card using Spellbinders dies for the shape of the card -- easy peasy! The ribbon stamp and sentiment are from http://www.sparklensprinkle.com/. I have been making lots of cards with this set of stamps in honor of breast cancer awareness month. I am a 20 year survivor and I know how important it is to put the word out. At Blue Ridge Foot and Ankle Clinic in Charlottesville, VA. our doctors bought all of the employees pink ribbon shirts to wear this month and I make a display of ribbon cards and tiny purses with candy in them to set in the office window. One of our employees, Mary Ishee, lost her mother to breast cancer this year and another employee, Becca, found out her mother has breast cancer and is now undergoing chemo. I am giving Becca "pink" cards to send to her mom. I will be back uploading more "pink ribbon" cards soon! Enjoy your day!

SparkleNSprinkle are celebrating their 13th birthday! They are having a super birthday party at http://sparklensprinkle.com/blog/, giving away many nice prizes during the month of October. Each of the wonderful design team members have made "out of the box" autumn themed cards to start off the birthday celebration. My butterfly has seven different colored glitters on it. I used the Sakura glue pen and allowed about 15 minutes drying time between each color. I cut out the butterfly design and layered it on black cardstock using Spellbinders dies to frame the butterflies. Since we are fast approaching Breast Cancer Awareness month I thought I would show a few cards to honor October. The stamps, tape, and all of the sparkly thingys ae from http://www.sparklensprinkle/. I stamped the image on watercolor paper and embossed. I then used Range distress inks to blend in my colors using the blending tool. I then misted with water mixed with perfect pearls. The pink embossing powder really makes the ribbon flourishe sparkle. Enjoy!

I haven't been on my blog lately because I'm spending all of my spare time in my "crafty" room! Fall is here and I have three craft shows in October. I love this time of year! I got an order for a couple of name frames. Aren't these adorable? It is a happy time when you make things for those little cuddly babies!!

Wow! I am so lucky winning prizes on blogs!! I did a blog hop and saw so many gorgeous cards that are published in this magazine - "Coloring Techniques for card making". You can view the book on Kathy's blog at http://www.thecreataholic.blogspot.com/. She has four cards published in the book and it covers water coloring, pencil coloring, and Copic markers. I love coloring and this book will probably be one of my most prized possessions! I'll have more cards over the weekend! In the meantime have a safe fun filled holiday weekend!

Hero Arts Leaf

I stamped this card a couple of months ago with white ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I then used one of the green Ranger inks for the background. I used a sparkly spray over the front of the card but it doesn't show up in this photo. In real life it is very sparkly! I am presently working on fall cards in this technique. It is such a fast technique and I found it on either the Hero Arts blog or Jennifer McGuires blog.

I'm in the mood for fall and have made a couple of these cards. I bought this stamp set at the Hampton rubber stamp show in October of 2009 and thought it was time it saw ink. The stamp set is really neat, by Darcie's, and has many different images so you can make it into an Easter, Christmas, fall, etc. card. I stamped the wreath and colored the leaves in with Prismacolor pencils and blended with Gamsol. I used glitter on the berries. I cut out the pumpkin and popped it up with pop dots. I also used a MS border punch. Think fall and cooler temperatures!!

Here are two cards made from a rubber cling set from Hero Arts. The set has the flower and two birds. I stamped the background using Pearlescent Coral ink from Brillance (most of their inks have a pearly shine to them). I cut the flower border using a Martha Stewart punch. I colored my images with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I used a sentiment from Papertrey Ink punched out with SU punches. I used Tear-rific tape from http://www.sparklensprinkle.com/ to tape on the ribbon. I applied areas of Tear-rific tape to the ribbon and then twisted so you can see both sides. The Tear-rific tape comes in several widths and has a super hold. Now that I am back to working about two days a week you will see more cards! Enjoy!

Happy 4th of July to everyone! It is going to be a hot day here in Virginia so thought I would upload a beach themed card. The bookmark tag can be removed and used as a bookmark or tag for that special "beach" person. I used Stamping Up cardstock for the card and tag. I used watercolor cardstock for the shell -- stamped the shell with white ink and embossed. Then I covered the watercolor paper with Ranger distress ink. I love this technique -- so easy. I then cut out the image with my Spellbinders circle and sprayed with a mixture of perfect pearls and water. Very sparkly. I distressed the tag and flourish with Ranger inks and stamped "Beach Bum". I glued on real shells at the bottom. All images are from the set Stamp Set 403 - By the Seashore by http://www.spakrlensprinkle.com/. This set has three lovely shells in it that can be cut out with the circle nestabilities from Spellbinders. HAVE A GREAT HOLIDAY WEEKEND!!

How do you like this die cut that Tilda is sitting on? I love the design and how delicate it looks. Dani Relaxing in the Garden

First of all, I want to thank everyone that has visited all of the blogs and I hope you will continue to follow. This is the third and final day of the blog hop! I created a card from Dani's Garden set from http://www.sparklensprinkle.com/. Dani is so peacful reading her book with the dragonfly on her knee. I colored the image with Copic markers and used Waterfall glittr glitter on Dani's dress and SunnyDaze glitter on the dragonfly. I used Spellbindes dies to cut out Dani and then sponged inside of the die with a light turquoise ink. I used some lace that I found in my garage a few weeks ago. The chipboard swirl is colored and covered with Waterfall glitter from http://www.sparklensprinkle.com/.

I then used wasabi green cardstock and Spellbinders dies to cut out a frame. This is so neat and Nikki has lots of Magnolia stamps and other stamps plus loads of charms, ribbon, distress inks, stickles and so much more. I colored Tilda with Copic markers and die cut with the circle nestabilities. I used Papertrey Ink melon berry cardstock, ribbon and button. I used some of the lace that I found in my garage. 12" cardstock

This has been a beautiful day here in Virginia! I made this card the other day. I was surfing and found this card (sorry I don't remember where) and decided to try it right then! I used pattern cardstock cut 5 1/2 x 12 inches and scored at 2,4,8, and 10. I layered the opposite side of the cardstock in the area that is 5 1/2 x 4, I used Spellbinders labels to die cut the image from Impression Obsession and the red dies. I used a Martha Stewart punch for the birds. Why don't you try this card?! Very easy! Great way to use that 12" heavier cardstock.

I made another card this afternoon using Dani's Garden stamp set from http://www.sparklensprinkle.com/. This is one set that I really love and is being given away when the blog hop finishes on 6/5/10. The stamp set is shown after the cards I made previously from this set. Wouldn't you like to win? I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and blended with Gamsol. I used a Tim Holtz Sizzix die to cut out the swirly chocolate die. This is the first time I have used the new ribbon I ordered. This ribbon has a thread on one side which you pull and it gathers up. How easy is that?! I topped the ribbon with a chocolate button and a small rose prima flower. BTW, thank you, everyone, for all of the comments I have received during the blog hop. I hope you will continue to follow my blog as it grows!

This is such a relaxing card! Dani is reading in her flower garden and enjoying the dragonflies! I used a MS punch for the lattice and colored the images with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. I also found this stash of old lace (had bought it at a yard sale years ago) in my garage. A full bag of lace! What do I do with that much lace? Narrow, medium, wide, all sizes -- white, ivory, beige, a few colors. Anyway, I took a piece of the ivory and colored it with crushed olive distress ink and put some of it on the card. I love the way this card turned out! Again, I used Sunny Daze glitter by http://www.sparklensprinkle.com/ on the dragonfly wings. http://www.sparklensprinkle.com/ is also going to lauch a blog hop so stay tuned. In this phot Dani is really swinging high! I used Basic Grey pattern paper as the background and also made a small flower out of the paper. I used MS punch for the leaves. I added Sunny Daze glitter to the bees and the flower. The yellow sure does sparkle!

Cuddly bear

Don't you love this cuddly bear by Penny Black? I finally made a long card so I could stamp the sentiment beside of the bear. I used Basic Grey pp and layered that onto Papertrey Ink Ripe Avacodo cardstock. I love PTI cardstock because of the weight and wonderful colors. It is so sturdy. I stamped the bear image and sentiment with Tuxedo Black Momento Ink and colored with Copic markers. I layered this onto PTI Poppy Red cardstock and puched out butterflies using the butterfly Sizzix punch sold by Stampin Up.

Distressed tags

Good morning everyone! Here in central Virgnia it is cloudy but these gentle rains sure are making the vegetable garden grow! Can't wait to bite into a tomato! Over the weekend I felt like doing working with my disress inks and the Tim Holtz dies and these tags are what I came up with! I used the new crushed olive (love that color), tumbled glass, and rusty hinge for the colors. I used Papertrey Ink Ivory cardstock. The Tim Holtz dies are so neat and cut through heavy materials which I love. I love the way the bird cage looks. I used rusty hinge and crushed olive to make it look aged. I also colored the lace with rusty hinge.

Innies & Outies

This is the other card I made from the set of Innies & Outies by http://www.sparklensprinkle.com/. The tag fits in the pocket and you only see the top of the first line so anyone would have to take the tag out to read it. I used SU cardstock and put some glitter from http://www.sparklensprinkle.com/ on the butterflies. The embossing folder I found at Cropstop.com. My friend, Sonnie, is coming up this afternoon and we are going to catch up on gossip while we "play" in my craft room. We usually try to get together once a week to stamp but she had a migraine on our day last week so we do have a lot to talk about today! I'm also going to try to get an order made for those new pearl pens so I can make my own pearl dots. I have read good reviews about them. I hope everyone enjoys their day!
