Cuddly bear

Don't you love this cuddly bear by Penny Black?  I finally made a long card so I could stamp the sentiment beside of the bear.  I used Basic Grey pp and layered that onto Papertrey Ink Ripe Avacodo cardstock.  I love PTI cardstock because of the weight and wonderful colors.  It is so sturdy.  I stamped the bear image and sentiment with Tuxedo Black Momento Ink and colored with Copic markers.  I layered this onto PTI Poppy Red cardstock and puched out butterflies using the butterfly Sizzix punch sold by Stampin Up.

Distressed tags

Good morning everyone!  Here in central Virgnia it is cloudy but these gentle rains sure are making the vegetable garden grow!  Can't wait to bite into a tomato!  Over the weekend I felt like doing working with my disress inks and the Tim Holtz dies and these tags are what I came up with!  I used the new crushed olive (love that color), tumbled glass, and rusty hinge for the colors.  I used Papertrey Ink Ivory cardstock.  The Tim Holtz dies are so neat and cut through heavy materials which I love.  I love the way the bird cage looks.  I used rusty hinge and crushed olive to make it look aged.  I also colored the lace with rusty hinge.

Innies & Outies

This is the other card I made from the set of Innies & Outies by  The tag fits in the pocket and you only see the top of the first line so anyone would have to take the tag out to read it.  I used SU cardstock and put some glitter from on the butterflies.  The embossing folder I found at  My friend, Sonnie, is coming up this afternoon and we are going to catch up on gossip while we "play" in my craft room.  We usually try to get together once a week to stamp but she had a migraine on our day last week so we do have a lot to talk about today!  I'm also going to try to get an order made for those new pearl pens so I can make my own pearl dots.  I have read good reviews about them.  I hope everyone enjoys their day!

"Book" continued

This is the second part  of the card I uploaded yesterday.  Everything seems to be working much better today when I resize my photos and send them to De at

Outies & Innies

I am having a rough time uploading photos today!  I have a second card that shows the second page with the "outie" phrase  on it but cannot get it to upload!  Anyhoo, this set is called "Innies & Outies" by,  This set was amazing!  After you turn the page of the "book" the other phrase is "I noticed the improvement immediately!!!".  I stamped the phrases with Tempting Turquoise ink from SU and applied EP393 Poolside embossing powder which is also from  The "book" was die cut using Spellbinders Labels Seven.  The flower is hand made by cutting a 3x3 inch square, drawing a coil and then cutting out the coil with scalloped scissors.  I love doing these flowers and they add piazz to the cards!  Hope everyone has a great day!

This is  a pic of my two youngest grandsons from the other weekend.  They love to run in our yard and they spent last night with us so I'm sure we will be outside playing again shortly.  It is such a beautiful day!  We had two big storms last night with hail, wind, rain, etc. But today the garden really looks good so it doesn't look like anything got ruined.  Also, Robert's mother passed away last night (Bless her soul) and he will probably be in Madison all day with his family.  She was 89 and had lived a good life.  Ethan and Elijah will be here all day so I couldn't go with him but that is okay.  He has a large family and they will take care of everything.

Birthday card

I did this card for my friend, Mallory, who works with me.  She sent the card to her sister for her birthday.  The shoe stamp is from the dollar bin at Michael's which I bought several years ago.  The sentiement is from Stampin Up.  Don't you love the way Birthday is written?  I used a Martha Stewart punch for the brown leaves and the ribbon is from Martha Stewart.  The cardstock is all Papertrey Ink.
