Cardinal

I love doing the sky areas of cards but haven't really gotten into it too much.  There are so many beautiful colors of inks out there to choose from.  On this card, I used an old retired SU ink  which is Cool Caribbean  I sponged it on white glossy cardstock leaving splotches of white cloud showing.  I then stamped the limbs on using an old stamp set from Papertrey Ink.  I then punched out a red cardinal using a Martha Stewart punch.  I embossed the cherry cobbler cardstock from SU and layered that onto a white card.  This was taught the other week at Paper Ink on the downtown mall and hopefully we will have enough people for another class.  Enjoy!

  3. How pretty, E! Love that blue for the sky - ours often looks just like that - and the cardinal is the perfect touch. I'd say it looks like my backyard but our trees still have leaves LOL - still we have lots of cardinals. Love that the bird is punched out!
