I just wanted to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving! My children will be coming by to eat "turkey" in the afternoon and my sweet hubby is doing the cooking so I will be able to play in my craft room for a little while! I stamped the background with a set of stamps from Hero Arts in various colors. The turkey is also a Hero Arts stamp. The circle and tag is from Spellbinders dies. I used Espresso Brown cardstock for the card. Give thanks toay and be safe!

Butterfly ornament
Another ornament for everyone to see! I also used a coaster for the base of this ornament and covered it with pattern paper. The butterfly was cut out of the pattern paper and also cut out of red cardstock. I learned how to do this technique from my friend, Bekah. You can see her blog at www.stampingwithbekah.com. It has Starfire Glitter under the butterfly which is from www.sparklensprinkle.com. I just used some stickers at the bottom of the ornament. The red ribbon is from www.papertreyink.com as well as the coasters. If anyone would like the directions for making the butterfly, please e-mail me and I will gladly type out the directions. I will also probably be teaching this at www.paperink.net in Charlottesville, VA.

Chipboard ornament
I made this ornament the other day using a 4x4 chipboard coaster. I used printed paper from Stampi Up and colored it with barn door distress stain from Ranger. I had some antique looking punch outs which I used on the front. I popped up Santa and used a felt snowflake that I cut out with an old Cuttlebug die. I used Stampin Up twine wrapped around the ornament and for the hanger. Very easy!

Fall Pears
This is a card I did a few weeks ago using a stamp from Stampin Up. I colored the pear basket with Prismacolor pencils and used my blending stamps and Gamsol. I then used my Grand Calibur and the circle nestabilties to cut the image out. I used another nestablities set for layering. I used a sentiment from Papertrey Ink and Stampin Up punches to layer the sentiment. Also, the ribbon is called Pear Pizazz and is from Stampin Up.

"It's A Culture Thing Blog Hop
Welcome to the Sparkle N Sprinkle It's A Cultural Thing blog hop! If you hopped here by way of Julie's blog at http://backtobasicsandbeyond.blogspot.com/ then you are in the right place! Otherwise, you might like starting from the beginning at SNS Home Blog addy: http://sparklensprinkle.com/blog/ to become eligible for four great prizes. I chose an Asian theme for the Cultural blog hop I only used three colors for this card -- white background, black and gold. I used the Asian fan from Set 126 and stamped with gold ink on black cardstock. I then embossed with gold detail embossing powder and fuzzy cut. I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder with black cardstock. I then brayered gold pigment ink over the entire black embossed cardstock. This picture isn't showing up the gold like it did in real life but it is brilliant in real life! A complete list of supplies and tutorial on how to make this card can be found at http://sparklensprinkle.com/g/view_photo.php?set_albumName=Oriental&id=agi. of the glitters are also by SparkleNSprinkle. Watch for the blog hop on ThursdayI have been working on butterfly cards lately so thought I would post one that was made several months ago. I still need to make pics of the ones I worked on this weekend. This set of stamps is by SparkleNSprinkle and you can see the set on their website at www.sparklensprinkle.com. I used quite a few different glitters on this card and used Spellbinders frame around the butterflies. All of the glitters can be found at the online store at SNS. Keep your eyes peeled for our blog hop starting on Thursday!
